Comparative Index to Islam

Comparative Index to Islam -
from the Qur'an, Hadiths, Taurat, Injil and other sources

NOTE: This Index is CONTINUALLY under renovation.
Only new entries or major updates are announced under New Articles.

Related resources:

HTML links to Qur'anic and Bible passages directly from the index. (I would love to have direct links to the hadiths, but the hadith repositories all link in the whole volume/book, which will be slow. Let me know if you find one that can link in parts only).

This is a huge index to Islam, which started as an index to the Quran, obtained originally from the net, and was greatly expanded to include materials from hadith, commentaries, researchers, etc. If you have other things to add, correct or suggestions to make, please email us. (This index was originally developed independently from this site, but it would be nice to make it eventually the prefered site entry point through which all content can be accessed. This is a lot of work to look for connections to make into links. Suggestions from which old or new entry to link to other pages on Answering Islam are most welcome.)

References to Qur'anic verses are according to Pickthall's translation: The Meaning of The Glorious Quran (annotated with P:). Other translations are annotated with YA: (Yusuf Ali), MA: (Muhammad Asad), S: (Shakir), SA: (Sher Ali), RK: (Rashad Khalifa). HTML reference links for Qur'an passages point to the Qur'an Browser, Bible passages have reference links to The Bible Gateway, and online hadith references point to MSA-USC Hadith Database.

Note: "/" mean different verse numbering. If you can't find them, please check the context of the verse. "~" is shorthand for the current term or topic. Ar. means Arabic, Gk. Greek and Hb. Hebrew. Lit. means literally.

Note: At some places, the sources appear funny, so I have tried to put "++source??++" to indicate this... but I have not done an exhaustive check through it. If you have any idea, please let me know.

May God bless you.
